Our Did You Know series brings some of Initial State’s amazing features to attention while giving tips and tricks on how to make the most of them.
Did you know that we’ve added new map controls and updated the map display to be more detailed? The updated Tiles map view now shows shaded topography and connects data points in time order.
Maps also supports a variety of keyboard shortcuts and touch commands such as zooming with the mouse wheel, + and – keys, or two finger touch pinch. Holding SHIFT while clicking and dragging on the map will highlight and zoom to the desired area.
Maps can also now be tilted using the SHIFT + Up/Down arrows. They can also be rotated with SHIFT + Right/Left arrows. You can also tilt and rotate by clicking and dragging the orientation button underneath the zoom control in the upper right corner of the map tile. Reset the tilt by clicking on this icon.
