Weekly Envy: ALTO Wireless Earbuds

The Weekly Envy highlights one piece of cool tech that we’ve come across lately and really wish we could buy!

From ALTO Inc. :

ALTO Wireless Earbuds are exactly what all those other “wireless earbuds” are not – truly wireless.  No around-the-back-of-your-head bands or short cords – these earbuds aren’t even physically connected to each other!

The entire concept of these little guys is sleek, convenient, and, well, tiny – without sacrificing sound quality. The earbuds can be carried in a capsule-like case that acts as a portable charger, holding 10 hours of stored charge when it’s not being charged via microUSB.

That’s another great thing about these earbuds – they have a playtime battery life of 8 hours with 250 hours of standby time. They also charge in just 20 minutes.

The earbuds run on Bluetooth 4.0 and can pair with up to 8 different devices at a time. The advertised range is up to 33 feet (10 meters)! If you’re wondering what kind of controls you could pack into something so tiny, you can answer, end, and reject calls in addition to starting, stopping and skipping music.

ALTO will be selling its wireless earbuds for $149-$199 depending on the color you want, but if you pre-order now you can snatch a pair for just $79.

Or you can wait a couple days for their Kickstarter campaign to launch.

They say they will ship early 2016, and you can read all about them here: http://www.altoearbuds.com/
