Weekly Envy: Nuimo Smart Home Interface

on May 27 | by

The Weekly Envy highlights one piece of cool tech that we’ve come across lately and really wish we could buy!

From Senic:

The Nuimo is a “universal controller for the internet of things”. Brought closer to production by IndieGoGo and already 300% ahead of their Kickstarter goal with 16 days still to go, this little device seems to be exactly what everyone’s been wanting in their increasingly smart home.

The 190 gram aluminum disk connects with all Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) devices to give you access to many of your favorite apps and services. You control these apps with simple clicks, twists and swipes. You don’t even have to touch the Nuimo!

Already partnered with smart device names like Hue, Smartthings, Nest and Arduino and apps like Spotify, Youtube and Netflix, the Nuimo also allows open development of integrations.

Switching between all of those apps is as easy as a click and a swipe.

You can get the Nuimo in a classic white or a modern black. If you give a little extra money on Kickstarter, you can even get a special edition gold!

I think that the Nuimo looks incredible – both in terms of what it can do and how it actually looks.

Pledging $141 (€129) will get you a Nuimo and backplate. They say that’s 30% off of retail, which means that this will be going for around $184 (€168) once the Kickstarter campaign has ended.
